CO2 emissions - How to calculate your co2e footprint

Your CO2 footprint refers to how much CO2 emissions that can be attributed to your lifestyle. With ClimateHero co2e calculator you can test and check how large your co2e footprint is. You just need to answer a few simple questions about your living habits. For example, the question will track and estimate the co2 emissions of flying, cars, meat consumption and energy.

CO2e is an abbreviation for carbon dioxide equivalent. CO2 is the chemical writing for carbon dioxide, while e refers to equivalent. Sometimes it is written as CO2ekv. The CO2 impact in the atmosphere is measured in parts per million (ppm). Since 2017 the co2 intensity in the atmosphere is above 400 ppm.

How to reduce your co2 impact - check how you can reduce your co2e emissions, offset and go co2 neutral.

After calculating your co2e emissions with ClimateHero co2 calculator, you will receive feedback on what you already do well today. You will then receive suggestion on how you may reduce your co2 e footprint. These suggestions are based on how you have answered in test and may for example suggest co2 saving by decreased flying or meat consumption. As a final action you may offset your remaining co2 emissions in order to go co2 neutral.

Track Co2e emissions of the United States (US), Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and The United Kingdom (UK), England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
